VCU Homecoming 2016 is well under way, and we have a lot to celebrate. I am proud of VCU’s progress and all the good that we have accomplished in our 178 years of existence. From groundbreaking research and innovation to thought-provoking art, we are a university that is shaping the future.
I hope you will take time this week to gather and celebrate with the VCU community at one of the many events scheduled throughout the week. Get to know fellow Rams, take part in community projects, and celebrate VCU.
And remember that Election Day in the United States is Tuesday. Because we are active members of the community, please join your fellow Rams and vote in national and local races. VCU Parking and Transportation have teamed up with the Monroe Park Campus Student Government Association to sponsor an Election Day shuttle to polling locations across Richmond. Simply reserve a spot and bring your VCU ID card and your government-issued photo identification. The shuttle picks up at Cabell Library and runs from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
As we welcome alumni back to campus, I am in proud of what they will see— place that welcomes, educates, and prepares students to face and address challenges. I am encouraged by what the present and future holds for the university and community. Go Rams!
